Six all-inclusive hours: cross to Vieques Island, snorkel the reefs and seagrass beds where green sea turtles feed, then hit a white-sand beach with lunch, beach games and karaoke on the boat.
The day
Vieques sits eight miles off the mainland, and its water feels like a different country: clearer, quieter, and rimmed with seagrass meadows where green sea turtles come to graze. This crossing is our guides' favorite stretch of ocean, and it shows in how they run the day.
You will snorkel guided over reef and seagrass in prime turtle territory. Sightings are frequent, never guaranteed, because this is wild ocean and that is the point. Then the boat anchors at a white-sand beach for a deli lunch, cold drinks, beach games and the crew's slightly famous onboard karaoke. You are back at the marina around 3 p.m. with the best photos of your trip.
Meet the crew in Fajardo, park free, gear up and get comfortable for the crossing.
